An healthy feeding is a key aspect of children’s growth. Cooking the right meals should be a daily concern and soups are a great meal and a nutritious option!

We have selected five simple soups recipes that will delight your baby:

1 – Cream of green beans

It can be ingested by children from 4 months onwards, and to make it you will need 1 medium potato, 100gr of green beans, 1 measure of the milk powder that you usually use and 30ml of water.

After peeling, cut and sanitize the vegetables, put them in a pan with the water and cook them for about 20 minutes. After cooked, place the vegetables in a blender, add the milk powder and beat until it reaches a smooth cream.

2 – Carrot cream

It can be ingested by children from 4 months onwards, and to make it you will need 1 medium potato, 3 medium carrots, ½ onion and 30ml of water.

Peel, cut, and clean the vegetables, put them in a pan with boiling water until well cooked. After cooked, use an hand blender to get a velvety cream. If necessary, add more water until the required consistency is achieved.

3 – Cream of lettuce

It can be ingested by children from 4 months onward, and to make it you will need 1 medium potato, 1 medium carrot, ½ onion, 2 leaves of lettuce and 30ml of water.

Properly peeling, chopping and sanitizing vegetables is the first and most important step to make any soup. After this process, place the vegetables in a pan with the water, let them boil till being well cooked. Afterwards use the hand blender or the blender to get a consistent cream for your baby.

4 – Broccoli cream with chicken

Suitable for children older than 6 months, in which you will need 40gr of chicken breast, 2 ” branches ” of broccoli, 1 medium potato, 1 medium carrot and 40ml of water.

After peeling, cutting and sanitizing the vegetables very well and preparing the chicken, put all the ingredients to boil for about 20 minutes. Blend everything very well so you do not get any lumps and the soup is ready!

5 – Pumpkin and fish puree

This purée can be ingested by children over 7 months old. To make it you will need 30gr of white fish such as hake or swordfish, 1 medium pumpkin slice, ½ medium onion, 1 potato and 40ml of water.

After preparing and sanitizing all the vegetables, put them in a pan with water until they are cooked. Put the prepared fish (without scales and pimples) in another pan for about 20 minutes, or until cooked. Subsequently, place all the ingredients in a blender with a little cooking water of the fish until you get a velvety cream.

These recipes are based on what is recommended by most pediatricians, however, each child is unique and should not fail to seek medical advice.
